《象外·域外》是居住在墨尔本的著名华人艺术家赵大陆的新画展。大陆是一位思想丰富且非常有成就的艺术家，他以其精美的肖像画而闻名于澳大利亚和中国。多年来，大陆一直在尝试绘画的表现形式，试图用油画材料以中国传统的黑白水墨画的风格来捕捉澳大利亚的风景。正如大陆所说，他的目的是通过他的眼睛审视我们的风景，试图从另一个角度捕捉当今世界新的视野。他的世界观深受他对东方哲学研究的影响，因此他的作品呈现给我们的是在这个国家很少见到的独特的美感、原创性和对自然的热情。
《象外·域外》收录了大陆多年在澳大利亚生活以及他在中国生活时创作的此类作品。
“Outside the World" is a new exhibition of paintings by Zhao Da Lu, a renowned Chinese artist living in Melbourne. Da Lu is a thoughtful and very accomplished artist who is best known in Australia and China for his fine portraits. For many years, Da Lu has been experimenting with form, trying to capture the Australian landscape in oil paint but in the style of Chinese traditional black and white ink drawings. As Da Lu explains, his intention is to examine our landscape through his eyes, seeking to capture today’s world from a new perspective. His view of the world is very much influenced by his studies of eastern philosophy, so his works present a unique beauty , originality and passion for nature such as we seldom see in this country.
“Outside the World” is a collection of Da Lu’s works painted over his many years of living in Australia as well as works from his life in China.
